Fort Comanche Frontier Firearms has been crafting custom--primarily muzzle loading—firearms for over thirty years and has been in continuous business since 1990. As always, we are concerned with the production of custom firearms from many historic periods and of various different designs. We have made everything from matchlocks, to black powder cartridge guns;

The periods range from the very inception of

firearms through, with some exceptions, the late 19th century.

These arms are produced with exacting care and attention to historic detail and often with the same tools and methods employed by those early masters who created the originals. We can make exact recreations of those originals, or we can create ‘originals’ to the customer’s specifications that are not copies of a particular maker, but reflect the design philosophy of a maker, era or region.

Whichever is the case, whether it is an exact copy, an original, or one of our production models, our philosophy and policy is to make absolutely the finest traditional firearms available today with every hope that our customers will consider them among their most valued possessions.
